Re: Car Boot - Lagoa
I'm sorry I don't know but isn't it the Fatacil event this weekend?
Re: Car Boot - Lagoa
It is - starts on Friday I think? Saw a poster somewhere but can't remember the exact date.
Re: Car Boot - Lagoa
Wont make it this year which is a real pity as among the artists performing are David Fonseca , a Pink Floyd tribute band and Zuto sand Pontapes. Something for almost everyone there.
Re: Car Boot - Lagoa
Salsec1, do you mean the Fatacil or the actual car boot sale that takes place monthly within the grounds?
Re the Fatacil fair, it runs from the 20th to the 29th I think. Must say the only one I'm looking forward to so far is the Pink Floyd tribute band!

Re: Car Boot - Lagoa
Agree ref Pink Floyd but go and see David Fonseca if you can , he sings in English and has had hits all over the world.
Re: Car Boot - Lagoa
EMM I have to say I really can't stand this man's voice! But I'm sure the atmosphere will be great, shame you're missing it
Re: Car Boot - Lagoa
Expect the boot sale at Lagoa will start the end of September as they will have to dismantle the Fatacil exhibition before it is allowed to be used, so would expect it to be Sunday 26th( 4th Sunday of every month thereon).
Re: Car Boot - Lagoa
about 3 months ago Lagoa camara came around the car boot sale telling everyone they needed to apply in writing for a spot with their id card, fiscal number, address tel number, this tallies with almost all the car boot sales who now want everyone to be licensed and registered with finances so you can pay tax on your junk items (you know stuff that you have already paid tax on when you bought it!) ....as a result of this I am told the Lagoa sunday market has now shrunk by a third
Re: Car Boot - Lagoa
Thanks for your replies.
I had read previously about the camara taxing people on what they made at the car boot sale, although I did not realise it had already started.
How ridiculous!
I will sell my unwanted items some other way.

Re: Car Boot - Lagoa
WE have been to a couple of car boots in the Lagarve and they were nothing like the UK with the majority being provate stalls selling their owners surplus unwanted possesionss.
The majority were clearly trade, we could have been back in N london judging from many of the accents.
