Hello Carvoeiro!

Post by mrs-b »

Hello to the forum from a 'newbie'! Please be gentle with me...

I have been to Carvoeiro for 22 years and have been following the forum with much interest. I feel now it is tine to join!

So, what's Carvoeiro like this August, is it busy? I will post on the restaurant forum later, but it seems quite scary!!

No Michael, she asked what it was like THIS August!!!

We are coming out this week so will let you know, it has been very, very hot up until now so I am hoping it will cool down a little.

Do post, it is great to have new 'blood' on here to help keep the banter going and to help others which is what the site is all about.

Here we go again. :D

I think Carvoeiro is busier this year than last though it can be quite quiet during the day, I think that's because everyone is either on the beach or taking shelter from the intense heat.

The last couple of days have been a bit cooler but the weather has been strange, overcast, hazy & muggy. This morning looking out across the orchards & countryside it looked really foggy, it's clear now. I love the heat but I've struggled this year thank God I don't have to work in it, any jobs I have to do I get up early & make sure are done before 10 or 11 am then hopefully collapse by the pool or under an AC unit. It's a hard life. :D

Had a beautiful week in CVO 2 weeks ago. Very hot 30+ each day, and lovely warm nights and mornings! Fantastic holiday as usual, can honestly say I love the place, the people, food, beaches, towns, the list is endless it never get's boring, bliss! Truly is a wonderful place and if I would lucky enough latter on in life it is my dream/ambition to own a villa out there. Now that would be magic!!
