Does anybody have any idea when the water supply will be restored on the western side of the village?

Apparently a burst water-main in Sesmarias is responsible for the shut-down since 4.30am this morning?

Spoke to Aguas de Lagoa at 10:30am and 2:15pm, both times they told me it was a very bad leak, but should be OK in the next hour or so - "mais ou menos". Probably mais rather than menos.

Same happened last year at this time when there was a massive increase in demand and the pressure had to be turned up at the pumping station. It took 2 days to fix.

Stupid question as I don't want to test whether we have water or not, is the area by the Mirachor hotel where you are talking about?

No - The area that takes in Solferias, Mato Serrao and Sesmarias. I don't know if the other side have the same problem?

No, the town has water. The area concerned is Sesmarias, Monte Carvoeiro, Carvoeiro Clube and Vale de Paraiso. Ironically the area around the old water tower.

Yes - it was back on at 4.30pm yesterday afternoon
