Can't find a hire car! Please help!

Hi Everybody,

I booked a hire car with 'Farocar' in June this year, but they have just rang me less than week before my flight and cancelled the booking.

I have tried all the obvious car hire companies and brokers but they all have no availability on small cars.

Does anyone know a smaller, less well know hire company I could try, maybe in Carvoeiro? Pick-up at Faro Airport isn't essential and my dates are 09/08/10 - 23/08/10

Thanks in advance for anyone who can help me! I don't know what else to do.

We have just used Loc Auto www.locauto.pt/about.htm
Excellent service - we would use them again, it's worth a try seeing if they have anything available.

Have you not tried Europcar? You can do it via Easyjet onlne. You don't need to book a flight with them!

I had the same problem trying to hire an automatic and eventually found a company at the top of restaurant hill on the right, obviously I can't think of the name, opposite to the road up to ADM, and they were great and sorted one for me, hope you get fixed up.

Hi we have used various car rentals such as zit auto, travel rent and algarve autos, may be worth trying these as well hope u are successful, although late I hope you get a car

I think you mean the one that has an office in the Bellevue Apartments building, right on the corner? I have usefully forgotten the name...
