Easy Jet flight cancelled

Easy Jet have just cancelled my daughters flight home from Carvoeiro on the 28th August,
she was booked on the late flight and has a car from Algarvedriver. We are trying to make contact
with Algarvedriver to see if she can keep the car for another day the 29th August and then re-book
her flight. We have emailed but so far no reply, can anyone tell us of another way to make contact urgently.

Thanks Laserblazer for the phone numbers I think the office number is on the paperwork you
get when you collect the car my daughter is still in the U.K. at the moment but needs to check
that she can have the car for a further 24 hours before she re-books a flight. It seems strange
that Easyjet have cancelled a flight just when people are returning to the U.K. for the start of
the new school term I should have thought that it would be well booked.

This is a worrying development. Our flight home in September is a 20:30 departure on a Tuesday evening with EJT to Bristol. As your daughter's flight home was on a Saturday eve during what is normally a very busy weekend, there must be a number of midweek flights in danger of cancellation.

I did read a report of pilot shortages at Easyjet this summer. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Our Sat evening flight back 2 weeks ago was cancelled and the Sunday flight was 1.1/2 hours late. This too we discovered was also close to being cancelled.
Reason Staff shortages.

This is all rather worrying, when I looked at the winter flights unlike last year when they didn`t
fly on Tuesday and Thursday they seem to be flying every day. Does this mean that they will
take bookings and then pull the flight. Is it lack of staff or are the flights not full, we had a friend
who flew back to Stansted 10 days ago and she said there were 50 empty seats on the 10.15 a.m.

In a sunday times report the new Easyjet CEO agrees that their reliability is too low and thet they will have to recruit more staff to cope with demand. She agrees that Stelios was right to gave a go at the previous management for their " cost cutting " approach which has damaged the brand.
