Julie Statham walk 28 April

Post by PTBUXTON »

Just a short post to say how much I enjoyed this organized walk to The Barragem de Arade at just 5 euros it was good value for money half going to charity, the views were spectacular but it did get quite arduous at times take plenty of water if it look's like being a hot day.

Glad you enjoyed the walk. We used to go on these , when 5€ was about £3 , but its now £9 for 2 people and, if you are going on 3 or 4 during a resonable stay, it all adds up.

Personally, if I want to give to charity, I do so directly : not via a third party who gives " a donation to charity" , when it is unclear how much the donation is ( I note you say 50%) and which charity it actually is.

That is one reason why I set up CVO Ramblers.....for likeminded people to have some exercise, see the country, have a chat....and it's free. Shame more people don't come though!

Anyway, the important thing is that people are getting out and about, whether they pay or not.

Caome & try our free walks one day!
