Here we go againHampshireRich wrote:and why do you object to there being limited parking (for the disabled) in the square?
Rich
After reading your comments to Completecarvoeiro on another thread you are coming across as an axe grinding chip on your shoulder stalker so who I am and what I do really is no concern of yoursHampshireRich wrote: So, bulldodge - now you know - what about you - are you a local resident and can give that opinion, or a business owner and therefore a business perspective - or are you something else?
Rich
One thing to consider though, Lets say 50 spaces have gone from the town (although there are many more) times 50 by 4 passengers per car and say each car stays for around 2-3 hours and then is replaced by another car with 4 passengers add that up to how many potential customers could be going somewhere else because they can't find an easy parking space.
Re: news item about "The Square"
Not for the first time Bulldog you have got it wrong.
The council has created over 90 new parking spaces in the area around the school ,church and Algar seco.
There never were 90 spaces in the square.
The rest of the " so called " parking was the pavement.
There are probably now MORE official parking spaces than before.
As you have been asked many times before, Where is your evidence that the changes have adversly affected Carvoeiro.

Any new parking spaces are away from the town. Algar Seco is up a big hill and a hard walk for people with prams (or young children),wheelchairs or walking/health problems,You are now acting like Rich! Read what I wrote it says easy(in bold) parking spaces!!!!
My evidence that business has been adversely effected comes from talking to LOCAL business owners. Where does your evidence come from that local business owners that have held meetings and got petitions signed are making it up?
EMM wrote:There are probably now MORE official parking spaces than before.
For a man who is demanding evidence "probably" is a VERY poor basis for an argument
Re: news item about "The Square"
There are parking spaces for those with disabled badges ( ask you friends to stop parking in them ) and there should be more.
The square parking allowed business in that area to " catch " arrivals, the new arrangements mean that these will be spread more evenly and fairly around the village.
The complaints ( if genuine ) of less business may come from those few who have lost out, certainly not from those who have gained.
I do not see the Bote or the Algar seco cafe complaining about all the new business they will get, or those on the hill that visitors pass as they walk down from the new parking areas or from spaces further out.
O, Patio, Grande cafe, martins, Tapas, Sullys, Smilers and all the others in the square area seem as busy as ever so who are you talking about ??

Hi EMM,
Hub has a disabled badge, so can he apply for one when we move out there?
Don't know if you can help me with this?
Thank-you

I have seen hire cars displaying their UK badges in the reserved spaces in carvoeiro.
I have also seen hire cars ( without badges ) being ticketed in the same spaces.
There is no doubt an EU agreement regarding the use of such badges as we see non UK reg cars in our town displaying their badge.

Now you are coming across as a pathetic wind-up mechant - won't say who you are, where you live or what your interest in Carvoeiro actually is - have you ever been there or are you just banging on to annoy people.bulldodge wrote:[After reading your comments to Completecarvoeiro on another thread you are coming across as an axe grinding chip on your shoulder stalker so who I am and what I do really is no concern of yours
I would suggest everyone takes no notice of this person - whatever he is, he has not got the interest of the village, its traders or this forum at heart - silly person.

I thought so, too. For a 'new' member they have certainly come in at the deep end. The last person to come in, guns blazing and winding us all up was pato . . . . and he's still with us!DaveK wrote:Sam, no it is not you. Looking at the structure of the posts there is a similarity!
I have resolved to ignore them - it is hard to argue when you're the only one doing it.

Ellie,
if you have an up to date disability badge in your car it is effective in Europe to use and certain toll and bridge crossings are free to.

Now paranoia has started to creep in is there really any point in saying who I am? Especially now in your opinion I haven't got anyones interests at heart.
I must admit to being a tad upset about being compared to Lewisl! off what I see of their posts they are intellectually inferior to me. And I do feel sorry for the people who have been ripped off by Marion Day.
Now lets see who am I ????
Could I be someone who has never been to Carvoeiro?.......Nah that would make me cowboy
Maybe I am Gerry Cullen, Grooming you lot for another Donkey blog! (whoops sorry Lesley Jean, it just slipped out!)
Maybe I am just me and you paranoid selfish nutters should get a life!
Ohhhh and Michael Crane believe me I have been ignored by better and more intelligent people than you!
That's all folks.........see ya wouldn't wanna be ya
