Cocktail Bar -Monte Carvoeiro

Post by tricky »

For those of you interested in the world cup (not me) I know that Luis and Catya at the cocktail bar
are making a big thing of the football. Snacks and lots of things for the children who may not be interested will be available.
Please support them, they are a great couple and are two of the most hardworking people I have ever met.
And Louis's Long Island Ice tea cocktails are to die for.

We have been to Luis's on our previous two trips to CVO and love it in there! We have arranged our holiday to be away for two weeks of the World Cup and look forward to enjoying many a game (and beer!) in Luis's!

Cocktail Bar is a must!!! The best cocktails ever tried, all fresh ingredients prepared infront of you. It has the most welcoming hosts in Luis and Catya who provide not only drinks and free popcorn to nibble on, but wooden and metal puzzles to keep you entertained. Really relaxed atmosphere sitting in the square of Monte Carvoeiro. Been 2 years on the trot and rarely venture into town as atmosphere so good :)

THere is only one thing wrong with the cocktail bar.

The music is far too loud. not everyone in the square want to hear it. It could result in other bars turning up their volume and ruining the ambience.
Please turn it down !!

Just returned from annual pilgrimage to Carvoeiro and saw the World Cup games with Luis & Catya as planned. Usual great service, warm welcome and good laughs (I don't mean at England's attempts!) and nice to see that they both are keeping up their wonderful attitude to customers

Bumping this back up to the top for a while. As usual brilliant cocktails and atmosphere, live music in the square regularly and karaoke on Sundays.

Kelly, I'm really pleased you had a lovely time; the combination of Brits enjoying themselves, music, & karaoke will probably invoke the ire of EMM, I apologise for it in advance, it doesn't represent the vox pop of Carvoeiro 8)

If people prefer to listen or take part in Karaoke rather than go somewhere were " REAL " musicians play that is their choice. Karaoke is the plastic cheese and reformed ham of the entertainment industry , cost very little to produce, has no taste or substance and should leave you wanting the real thing even if you have to pay a bit more to experience it.

Hi EMM ,

Karaoke is not my cup of tea either, but it obviously appeals to a lot of people, so live and let live eh?
To be fair you can get some good singers, but if you don't then vote with your feet and go somewhere quieter or with live music.

Simples,

I love karaoke and can hold a note which is why I do it. Nice to have fun for a night cos lets face it there's no chance of making it in the music biz!
