Barbers

Post by Lamby »

I know, another crazy question from the Crazy World that is Lamby :D
Is there a gentlemen's barbers in CVO? I keep my hair short and cut it twice a week. I usually take my own clippers but might save a bit of weight in the luggage and experience a local haircut.
Finish work in an hour to prepare to fly at 7.30am Saturday - happy days!!

Depending on the extent of your hair styling requirements - there are two basic ones I use:

- One is in the block of shops on the out road on the left just before the Anteak Bar
- The other is just below the GNR Station on the hill down to the square just before the souvenir shop

A hair cut in February on its own was €8 (without washing etc)

If you really want an authentic portuguese experience, try the barber of Lagoa.
off a side street from the main square. He plays Queen dvds and doesn't talk. Last year it was 6 euros.
not for the faint hearted :D

Similar in the square in Lagos, if they're still there, they still use the open razor and taper, gulp! you do get a lollypop though if you don't cry. :)

A lot of the local ex-pats go to Erica (Caballero Carvoeiro) almost next door to Ma-Ja's.
