Easyjet Flight Re-scheduling Options
Easyjet Flight Re-scheduling Options
I have received an email regarding my return flight from Faro to Stansted in April. They say that the flight has been re-scheduled but do not say to when. All that is offered is the choice of a credit file (i.e. credit to be put towards another future easyjet flight) or a free transfer, which I presume means they will put me on another flight on the same or another day. The catch is you have to select one and your decision is final so you can't change your mind if, say, you select a free transfer and find that you have been put aon a flight a week earlier/later. This seems a pretty shoddy way of forcing a choice with no background information. I have emailed easyjet asking for more details and received an automated reply along the lines of "we are overloaded with emails so don't send any more" Strangely my original flight is still shown as available for booking on their website. Has anyone else had this happen to them? Any advice as to the best choice to make?

Re: Easyjet Flight Re-scheduling Options
I had an email on Tuesday evening saying my flight from BTL to Corfu in June had been cancelled, but when i looked at my booking via Ejet website (put your booking reference in to get to it) it had changed from 06:50 in the morning to 17:50 in the evening. So i sent them an email saying i was "confused". I had a reply email back almost straight away saying they were extremely busy with emails and would reply the next day.
I was then suspicious of the original message and thought "they sent the wrong message - it should be informing me i've had a flight time change, not cancellation".
Lo and behold Wednesday eve i received an email saying ignore the original email re cancellation it should have told me the flight time had changed. Phew!
Then in yesterday's Daily Mail there was a report that Ejet had sent thousands of emails to people informing them of cancellations, but the majority of emails should've informed that there were flight time changes. The time changes are due to hundreds of flights being re-scheduled by European Air Traffic Control during June, July and August.
I haven't received any email about our Faro flight in September, so i guess that month is OK.
Hope this helps. Look out for another email re flight time change rather than cancellation. But if you want the Ejet customer services telephone number let me know and i'll post it up. It ain't easy to find on the website!!
Regards

Re: Easyjet Flight Re-scheduling Options
Thanks for the reply Bristle Si. I did get an earlier email informing me of a flight cancellation then a later one telling me to ignore the cancellation as it was just a re-scheduling - but they did not give any details of the re-scheduled times. I did find a few contact telephone numbers after a web trawl but I either get a recorded message saying " the mobile phone user has blocked all incoming calls" or a 'network failure' text. The numbers I have tried so far are: 0871 288 2236 & 0905 821 0905. There is a possible extra problem as I am calling from outside UK. If you have a better 'live' number to call I would appreciate it.

to check your new flight times, get your email with the Easyjet booking reference on it and then go to ejet website and go into "Manage your booking" - type the reference in with your login details and it'll take you to your booking and you should see the new flight times.
re the contact number i have the customer service number - it is 0871 244 2366

Re: Easyjet Flight Re-scheduling Options
We had the same
A mail saying sorry cancelled, then a couple of hrs later saying wasnt cancelled but some rescheduled and ours was affected.
I rang them the day after, they apologised - error in database and said BOTH mails were sent in error, and to not click on either option as this would effectively cancel good flights. They then forwarded on our our original confirmation to confirm, but said there is absolutely no issue, both messages were erroneous......

Re: Easyjet Flight Re-scheduling Options
Well I eventually clicked on the 'Free Transfer' option and was given the option to update manually. This refered me to the same page that you get if you go to the 'Manage Bookings' section from the website. I confirmed the flight dates and times (unchanged from original booking) and then received another email confirmation from easyjet for the same flights!
Re: Easyjet Flight Re-scheduling Options
Exactly...as per my post they've had some notification issues but the woman I spoke to said to ensure we didn't click on the options or it would look like we had cancelled since the flights were fine!! Very strange but all good, hopefully!
