Lisbon to Carvoeiro

Hi There,

Thats us booked for the summer we are flying from Edin to Lisbon for £433 for the 5 of us with easyjet. Can anyone give me any idea what the drive is like down to Carvoeiro, is there tolls etc and how long. Can i print off any directions for the our journey and can anyone reccomend car hire at Lisbon airport. Cant wait for June.

The faster road has tolls - about £20 I think. The slower and more attractive route is toll free. I think it is about 2.5 hours toll road and abougt 3.5 the other route - may be a bit longer - couple of years since I drove it. Very easy though.

We drive it frequently. It is an easy 2 - 2.5 hours and tolls are 18 Euros. Not a lot of traffic and you can travel a consistent 160. From the airport, follow the signs for the Ponte Vasco da Gama and then, head South on the A 12 (it will be marked Algarve). I always use www.economycarrentals.com and have gotten good rates and decent service.
