Can any one point us in the direct of some safe's that are not Chinese or to expensive As ours decided not to let anyone in. We tried IZZI and the supermarket.

Have you tried Leroy Merlin, Maxmat or the local Drogeria

Are you sure the batteries don't need to be changed - it happened to us!

Well yes Caron that could be the answer, we have had the same problem, they need to be changed regular, maybe that is the reason..There is an overide key to remedy this when the batteries fail, but that also depends whether the safe is a digital one. We do have a another safe which is built into the wall & encased in concete that only has a key access, Only 2 keys supplied originally, and very difficult to find a supplier to cut more due to the security of the key.

Alternatively if you have a Makro card (or know somebody that does) have you tried there?

When the key-cutting place in Intermarche was called Cofralgarve, they sold very basic, reasonably priced strong safes supplied with 3 keys. They were also able to cut further keys if necessary. Perhaps the new owner still sells them? in those days they would also fit them too.
