Just a quick note to say "Welcome" to all the new EU members that joined us today

It is my hope that all will go as well as possible. It will probably take a lot of hard work and sacrifice. Failure will lure around every turn, so keep your guard up - this is your chance, make the most of it.

a poll by one tv news channel - CNN i think - said 76 per cent of brits dont welcome the new members

Can someone tell me whatever happened to Maddi. There is no other person on this forum that I enjoyed disagreeing with more than her.

I am around but mostly watching these days, I have had something horrid happen to me and couldn't cope with getting in rows on here - too vulnerable and pathetic just now but still enjoying the form and the banter

The reason why they don't like "newcomers" is because they live on a "island" and don't want to be a member of the the "main-land" of Europe!

(so let's float England into the middle of the the Atlantic Ocean, and nobody in GB has to bother about Europe; stay in peace and have fun on your island!)

I welcome all the new members of the EU, in particular the Estonians!

I have always had the ability to say the wrong thing at the most inopportune time, believe me when I say that my intent was to compliment and not to demean you. Best of luck, hope you can pull yourself out of your unfortunate situation whatever it is.

I thought “born loser” was just “trouble” with a new name. But he/she has come back to say the sweetest thing…..........

Yes you’re right Peter…….and on this topic we’re not exactly inundated with goodwill messages from the island, are we?……But Peter as a Dutchman of course you are thankful to be one of Britain’s second favourites (probably) after the Portuguese.
