Bargain Flights from Ryanair

Post by maccasa »

Just spotted that Ryanair are offering East midlands to Faro on Mar 9th for NOTHING!
However, the online check-in, taxes, credit card payment etc bring it up to ~ £84 for two - Vlad the impaler could learn from these guys!

OK, but don't knock. We are going over this Wednesday. Gill is coming back Sunday and I return on Tuesday on the 22.30 into EMA with Ryanair at at total cost of eur 11.00, and this includes card booking fee of eur 5.00. and no taxes. Ignore all of the sales pitch for scatch cards/overpriced food etc and just use it as a bus service. Suits me fine :)

Could be but as the price was in Euros and NO tax mentioned it does seem an incredible deal.
I can,t see Ryan paying UK aiport tax generous as they are.

Yes. One way flight, just one person, Faro to EMA was booked in the UK; billed in euros and paid on our BBVA debit card. As I said the total cost was 11 euros including card fee - no taxes. My wife checked the same flight the following day and it was then over 40 euros.

AS I thought, Faro to EMA, paid in Euros on a PT card.
Would have been different if the other way round, booked in UK and paid on a UK card.
UK taxes would have been applied.

If you go on Ryan Air's web site today then you can book from East Midlands in mid january for £14.99 with no taxes and no on line check in but coming back it is £17.99.
