Intermarche
I have an Intermarche card which gets scanned every time I buy stuff there. Can anybody tell me what the benefits of the card are. Does it build up redeemable points. Does it entitle the user to discounts. What is it for - anybody know.
Re: Intermarche
Don,t know about Intermarche , but we have a continente card as that is where we do most of our shopping and that has over 25euros on it ( since march , ready for the christmas beer).
Re: Intermarche
The Continente card is very good and discounts offered on items are credited to the card so a useful balance can build up quite quickly. I bought some oil at the weekend with a 50% discount which credited 60 euros against the card which I can either accumulate or use as payment when I make my next purchase. In the past the card has also received a credit when 500 euros has been spent in the store.
The Intermarche card by contrast is a complete mystery to me and I would be interested to hear answers to the original post. I am not a fan of Intermarche but I use the card when I go for the items that I do like.
The difference in attitude between Intermarche and Continente is shown if you forget to present your card before making a payment. In Intermarche it is hard luck you have lost the opportunity to record the purchase on the card. In Continente the cashier can swipe the card afterwards or if not you can present the bill at reception and they will record it against your card.

Does this help ?
Quote "Intermarché, Ecomarché and Netto: European economy supermarket chains which form part of the Les Mousquetaires group. The company owns other stores including Vetimarché (clothing), Bricomarché (DIY equipment) and Logimarché. The Intermarché loyalty card can be used to collect points and gain discounts on products or money back on purchases over €25. Online shopping and home delivery services are available. Travel agents, car wash, dry cleaning and florist shops are found on site at Intermarché stores."

Re: Intermarche
That is an amazing website, Jeremy! Packed full of anything you might need to know about the Algarve.
Re: Intermarche
The Intermarche card works very similar to the Continente card. Only difference is that at Intermarche you are required to present the credit card size card to redeem your credits against any purchases. Although they will accept the small key ring card for obtaining the credits when purchasing items. they will not accept it to redeem the credits. On my last visit, I found I had lost my credit card sized card. All I did was go to the service desk and they checked my records and carried them over to a new set of cards.
