Buying Electrical Goods
Re: Buying Electrical Goods
I just went through the same exercise and bought a 32" Panasonic LCD from CPD in Almacil for 400 euros. I'll PM you with all the details. They charged me 90euros for the wall bracket & installation on top. I found this price to be fairly standard having Googled just about every retailer in the Algarve. Seemed expensive to me at the time ( 4 weeks ago ) because everything in the UK iso so cheap by comparison at the moment.
CPD did turn up fairly much on time & did the job ... the guy who did the work so was not the most pleasant though.

Re: Buying Electrical Goods
sorry, that should have read 499 euros + 90
Re: Buying Electrical Goods
If you have a UK Makro card then you can use that to shop at Makro at Guia
Re: Buying Electrical Goods
If you use Makro remember that prices shown do not include IVA this is added to the bill.
We did buy our first TV from there, it had a problem, we returned it it was repaired ? , same fault returned a few months later.
We wrote it off and bought a replace ment from Wortens ( no problems with this in 4 years ).
You really do need to have a good look round as Wortens, etc all seem to have " specials " at various times of the year.
