Socks & sandals

Post by Phil »

We're bringing our best friends John & Nic out for a week this Friday. I need to warn it's their first time in CVO. Is it acceptable to wear socks with your sandals in CVO these days? My wife thinks not!!

If it's good enough for Skeggy it's good enough for Carvoeiro! 8)

Sandles are so much more comfortable with trainer/pop socks and your feet don't get burnt. Knee length socks at dusk to keep the mozzies off your ankles. It's common sense really. :)

I told my wife there was no need to worry. She is heartened by all the positive (and understanding) advice and coming round to letting them come out with us.

oh My Lord. You have just hit on one of my pet hates. Socks with sandals .... no, never, don't do it!!!!
I brought up my sons (now 21 & 22) to believe anyone wearing socks and sandals were aliens from outer space. The socks and sandals were the only thing to give them away. White socks were their leaders. Even to this day we giggle when we see anyone wearing this hideous combination.

Yes if you wear baggy three quarter length trousers and a football shirt.

No, no, no, never, never, never!!! Feet soon get used to sandals without socks & put suncream on them if your're worried about them getting burnt. Portuguese socks are the only thing that's acceptable.
