Villa Query
Villa Query
Hi there. We've been coming to CVO for the last 7 years and we love it. Couldn't make it this year, made us very depressed
Now we've booked for next August and already counting down the days! Would anyone know a Villa called Vivenda Cupula? It's 5 mins walk away from the centre and looks like it's around the Monte Durado area?
Thanks to anyone who can help

Re: Villa Query
Just seen some pictures of this. Unless I'm mistaken, it looks like this is up the other side on Mato Serrao (near Solferias). If you walk up the donkey track (cardiac hill!!) it's just on top on the left.
It looks great.
It looks great.
Re: Villa Query
hi me and my family stayed in that villa a few years ago, there was seven of us and there was loads of room. its a nice villa, only down side kitchen and living room were upstairs, and everyone was walking through the bedrooms downstairs to get to the stairs for upstairs, there is another way to get to the stairs but its at the side of the villa, not many people use it. apart from that the villa is big and very nice and in a great location, im sure you will enjoy it. anne
Re: Villa Query
Many thanks for your replies Phil and Anne. That does help. According to the brochure the villa is 5 minutes walk to the centre of CVO? Where is the 'donkey track, is it on the in road? Just past the petrol station? We did wonder about the upside down arrangement of the villa, but we'll be so glad to be in CVO so small price to pay i think

Re: Villa Query
The "donkey track" at the back of Dirty Nellies is now a tarmac road albeit very steep hence its nickname of Cardiac Hill and from the pictures it appears that you take the first turning to the left just before the brow of the hill. If you are driving then you have to go up the hill leading to Solfeiras Hotel then turn left at the T junction and then take the second turn on the right.
Re: Villa Query
Thanks Charliegill, with your info we have found the villa on googlearth! it's a great spot. Looks like a rounded building, unusual. Cant wait til next year, but we'll have to!
Re: Villa Query
Yes I know the Donkey Track is tarmaced but it has always been called that. Our family villa is up the top by L'Orange. Years ago we would walk up each night. These days we're much more sensible and get taxis!!
Re: Villa Query
thanks Phil,
we are pretty sure we know where this villa is now. thankfully no negative comments from MC! Having read unhelpful posts from other people who obviously love the area as you do too

Re: Villa Query
jojo - you've got a long time to wait. I couldn't stand that. I tend to book late deals. That way you can soon start packing

Re: Villa Query
But somewhat uncalled for. The majority of MC's advice and comments are constructive and based on a sound working knowledge. The protocol isPhil wrote:I'm sure it was said in jest?Sharen Crane wrote:Was this a necessary comment?
