There has been a stall on Albufeira & Quarteira markets selling "Dorma" bedding sheets

Which market in Albufeira, what location please?

Albufeira Market is situated in the Calicos area next door to the main Albufeira Bus Station. From the dual carriageway (Avenida dos descombrimentos) through Albufeira go up the road at the side of the Bombeiros. The market is on every 1st & 3rd Tuesday of the month.Last time I went was in Mid May so I dont know whether the stall will still be there, it was at the begining of the market about 50 metres in, so it will be just pot luck, but if your passing that way when the markets on its worth a try.

I have just come across a site called bedspreadsportugal.com, based in Lagoa & Alvor, they are very expensive but seems lots of their bedding sheets are Egyptian cotton which is supposed to be the best you can buy, too expensive for me though. Fitted sheets 100% cotton from €16.50 & flat sheets from €19. Mattress protectors from €32. Pillow protectors €8. I can buy them in the UK for half that price.Just one bargain experience we had 2yrs ago we went to Quarteira Wednesday market and came across a bedding stall where it was a free for all,
everything just bungled up & search for what you want, we bought some single & double fitted white bed sheets, and they are still going strong, been washed many many times, no bobbles. This stall is still there, and everytime we visit it, him indoors says to me, "we aint got no more room to store bedding, how much more do you want , is it a fetish thing", but I suppose thats a womans shopping thing, say no more. If anyone wants to know, they are normally situated on the right hand edge of the market, (Coming from Vilamoura). up one of the little alleyways.

wow actually where can u get sheets in the uk in egyptian cotton for half the prices of the bedspreads shop? every time i go to the UK i look and look and cannot find their quality at their low prices. The white company in the UK and John Lewis sell the same products but charge twice the price sometimes 3 times and then when we get it all here it does not fit Portuguese beds!! did you know Portugal has lots of different sizes - I found that out the hard way when I brought a load os linen from the UK and didn't fit, but luckily the people at the bedspreads shop helped me with all the sizes

I've found it's cheaper to buy in the UK both Debenhams & John Lewis sales are brilliant for good quality bedlinen. The bedspread shop was well overpriced when I went there & only a very limited range.

I went to the one on the 125 a couple of times - everything I bought from there was appalling quality - linen lasted only a few washes (in a brand new washing machine) before it went bobbly. Returned it, got a different type, and exactly the same happened. The cheap stuff from Conforama is still going strong. Towels were not too bad, but bobbly towels are less of a problem than a bobbly bottom sheet!

Yes, Yorkshire Linen. I am now off to John Lewis or M&S (not sure which - depends on what they have!) to get some replacements to bring over in August.

The best quality we have found and the longest lasting ( many trips to the local commercial laundry ) has been bedding we bought in Ikea.
The sizes were perfect as well.

I get mine from the Bedspreads shop in Lagoa. Brill quality and they deliver!

When we were over a couple of weeks ago I noticed that Yorkshire Linen had reopened on the first floor of a building on the 125 next door to Style furnishings.

ever thought of Makro for sheets, pillowcases etc. although I think they only do white.
