Banking / ATM

Post by tony1059 »

Hi, Im sorry if this duplicates other questions but I didnt find the direct answer I need. Can anyone tell me whether there are any ATM machines near the village square and also whether anyone has had difficulty using the prepaid visa cards, you know the ones you can preload with euros / sterling. Many thanks in advance.

I don't know about the prepaid cards but there are several ATMs on both the in road and the out road at the banks there. Mind you I am a bit confused with which is the in road and which is the out road these days.

Really? This must be the last remaining parking space in CVO!

There is usually parking up there at all times, and if not, then the car park next to the municipal courts usually has a space apart from the busiest evenings in August, and it is only 30 seconds walk to Barclays from there.

There are two ATM's on the ''out'' road and one on the ''in'' road, all are not far from the main square. I don't see why you should have any problems with a prepaid card, especially if they are ''VISA'' or ''Mastercard''. 8)

Hi I used my pre-paid Euro visa card from Thomas Cook in the ATMs (two or three of them) last year with no problem at all. Will be back in August and plan to do the same. You wont have any problem at all.

Many thanks for all of your comments. The ATM at Barclays, is that on the way up the hill to the right (if looking from the beach past the chinese restaurant on the right and keep going....)

Hi Tony

Yes but its right up near the mirachoro. If you are in the square on foot, go to a nearer one. As you leave the beach and walk straight ahead, you have the "in road" and the "out road" infront of you (in road to left, out road to right)... walk down the out road to the left of smilers and the 2nd or 3rd building you come to on your left is a bank with a cash point which we tend to use. It's about 30seconds walk from smilers. If you just want cash, don't trek from the square up to barclays for it!
