There is a place in Algarve Shopping which I think is called Irilux - they have some quite unusual lights.

I second Kteee's answer - they are near the Bang and Olufsen shop and have a stunning range of modern lights (at a price !!)

Try Casa Lux (I think it is called) in Lagos - best range of lighting I have found on the Algarve but a bit pricey. Hidden away in suburb of Lagos but worth having a look.

I second Celeste too. Lots to choose from. We bought some very nice table lamps from in there with all accessories, bulbs, etc. Very friendly service.

We too bought all our lights from Celeste - excellent choice and service and very reasonably priced. Very helpful staff - lovely to deal with.

Celeste Lighting

Hi
Has anybody got more detailed directions to the above lighting shop in Ferragudo?, coming from Sesmarias, also any ideas of opening hours.

Thanks

Not sure of opening hours I'm afraid. But directions - if you come from Pinta course up to the roundabout, all the way round towards (I think it's Estombar?). All along the road to the end and instead of turning right towards the 125 you turn left towards Portimao. I think it's about the 2nd or 3rd turning on the right. There's a set of lights and you turn right there, go to the end and turn right and Celeste is along on the left.

I understand these instructions but maybe someone can explain it better. Good luck.

:D

It took us about an hour to find it but when you do it's fairly simple to find again (famous last words)! Celeste is actually in Parchal. If you are coming from CVO along the coast road to Ferragudo (past Caneiros beach) drive thru Ferragudo until you come to the T junction on the road to Portamao (which is signposted to the left). Turn right into Parchal. The turn-off for Celeste is about 300m on the left hand side. Cross the rail tracks and bear right. You will see Celeste Lighting on the left.

Thanks to everyone who recommended Celeste Lighting in Parchal.
We managed to get most of what we were looking for. They have a good selection of outdoor lighting also.
A point to note however, they don't accept credit cards, but there is a cash machine at Ali Super a few doors down if you overspend!!

Thanks
Tricky
