Where is Foxhills? We're towards the Hants part of Surrey so have played at Petersfield 9 hole and I've had a few lessons at Chiddingfold. They've just got a new driving range so will clear some time to go there and practice hitting the ball. (Have perfected the appearance of really was just getting my swing right and didn't really mean to hit the ball) !!!

Oh Gerry, I don't think there's any danger of anyone playing golf on my horse. I don't think she'd let you near her with a golf club. She has quite a wicked sense of humour - in teeth kick . I know all about it as I'm the one who has to put fly cream on her belly

Mac - Foxhills is in Ottershaw near Woking so probably too far for you to be sensible.

Mac & Guest

I have played Pinta & Gramacho a few times and have been asked for a handicap once but never asked to show proof. The going can be very slow during the day but last May two of us used the twilight offer at Gramacho - all the holes you can play after 4pm for a very reasonable green fee. The course was virtually empty and we easily completed 18 holes well before sundown (I am only an occasional player with a high handicap). I shall be in CVO for two weeks from 27 May so if you fancy a game let me know.

That sounds really interesting about the Gramacho twilight hours. Will have to look into this. At the moment when I have played (last year sometime) 9 holes is about enough for me. Remember, I end up hitting the ball a lot more than anyone else does!

We are considering going out towards the end of May so if we do book something, it would be nice to meet up with someone else who can understand the feelings of beginner golfers.

Thank you.
