i have a friend who worked for a big Swiss firm in Brazil....he says that when they were exporting coffee...the best went to Germany and Holland..the rubbish was sent to Portugal...and they never sent anything to Portugal until they got paid first.

If they send the rubbish here whatever goes to England, the coffee is crap AND expensive wherever you go 8)

absolutely! Why do coffee shops here think that we all want to wallow about in swimming pool size cups of weak pissy coffee? I would pay the same price for a decent smaller cup - have you seen the size of starbucks SMALLEST cup? Bigger than any mug I have at home. YEUCH!
By the way has fairly traded coffee hit portugal yet? If it has please please support it as much as you can - it makes a huge difference to growers around the world. :D :D If not then drink double amounts of fair trade coffee when you are in the UK. (Visit the oxfam Make trade fair site for more details.)[/b]
