Hiya Brucy babe and LJ, your lovely reply made me smile, and cry all at the same time ,thankyou for making me feel better today. :D
Darn cat licking my tears of kind thoughts, silly thing, her or me, oh well both of us.
You would of had a laugh today watching me try and prepare a casserole , richard did put the veg in the washing up bowl for me and got the Le creuset dish out etc before he went of to college today. Got them cut up ,cut the shin of beef cut up, all the prep work done, used the push me pull u thingy of mine to get it over to the cooker. Got it all done, sloshed loads of red plonk in so it could simmer all day. Now the tricky part, how do I get it into the bottom slow cooker drawer. Well with a lot of aptitude, slipping and sliding I got it onto the top level of my push thingy, slopped most of it onto the floor whilst getting it onto the next level. then how do I do the last move, got the cat beds and piled them up, shoved the dog soft bed on top of that and then flopped onto that. Right height to be able to open drawer, wiggle and waggle about til Igot hold of the casserole dish and slopped even more everywhere, but got it in the oven in the end. Now I did think this would be messy so I put the wine bottle on the bottom level too. So delid the dish and pour even more plonk over the casserole.Done, now how to get up, no nickers so cannot lie and wait for the post man to come and help, the bloody dog licked up all the liquor from the kitchen floor, yes thats the food hoover at work, however as a diabetic she is not meant to eat outside of restricted meal times. So now I shall have piddle all over the floor if I cannot get her out in time. So more squddging, wiggling, waddling, pushinh the dam pushme pull you thingy into the wall a few times, chipped paint but hey who cares , I am up from the floor. Hope none of the cats want one of their beds cos they are staying in the heap for later use for a stir. Now to get the dog outin time and leave her out there. Have a step to navigate, well thats fun, done it but god, good job not near any neighbours, frighten the lives out of them with the sights they would have to see.
Must make a mental note here for when we move back to Lyme Regis in the end of Swptember --where clothes

Well done sallyjane, it makes those of us that grumble about the odd ache and pain feel very humble. Hope you and Richard enjoyed the meal. :)

have to say I agree with all the positive comments on the site. What I like about it is that it always puts me in the mood for hols as I navigate the site. Have been going to CVO for about 10 years and tend to spend a lot of time on the site in the run up to each visit. In saying that I also drop in to catch up on the news and developments in CVO at regular intervals. Quality of info is great and gives you all the up to date news on the village and everything that's going on there.
The site is engaging, very informative, has a good tone and gives you lots of reasons to return on a regular basis - Like the newsletter too. Looking forward to coming out for July and spending more time on the site between now and then. Well done

Hi All

Thanks for all your feedback everyone.I will make sure I bring my disabled badge with me in case we hire a car.We are staying in an apartment in Carvoeiro looks like it's on the Rua do Barranco? I think !! better check before we leave!!.I am not in a wheelchair at the moment and trying to do without my stick due to pide ,vanity or stupidity .I am quite young people look at me as if I'm weird so I prefer to do as little as possible to draw attention to myself.I get my first knee replaced in August so wanted to to have a bit of fun first. Lyndabear x
ps hope I will run into some of you lot in the bar!

Hi bessieboo,
Ref your request for directions to QDP I have a directions sheet from Faro airport to QDP that I would be happy to email you if you'd like one.
We give people 3 options for getting to QDP but it does depend which part of QDP you are staying in :
1. Quickest route as described by laserblaser
2. Route past Intermarche and into the centre of town (don't recommend this at the moment unless you already know the town due to the roadworks currently going on - but who knows, they MAY be finished by September!)
3. Route past the Intermarche and petrol station which goes right up Solferias Hill just before you go into the town itself.
I'm sure you'll really enjoy your holiday in Carvoeiro.
