Where can I buy a laptop
Hi everyone,
Where can I buy a laptop? Is it better to buy in the UK and bring out to Carvoeiro or buy in the Algarve. I only want a basic one for checking emails etc.,
Thanks as always,
Rosie

Can't offer you advice on where to buy a laptop Rosie, but just remember that if you buy one in Portugal you will have a Portuguese keyboard, so unless you are alright using one of these regularly I would say buy in the UK!

It'll work no matter what country it's in. However if you mean, will I be able to use it for surfing the web?, then you'll perhaps need a new provider.Rosaleen17 wrote:Hi, The keyboard is ok, if i take one from the uk, will it work in my villa. I am not too sure?

Google 'algarvelaptops' - Pedro is a great guy (fluent English) and will supply a good value laptop (English spec if you want) and set everything up for you

Re: Where can I buy a laptop
How do i get a new provider???
Re: Where can I buy a laptop
You do not need a new ISP provider, buy a cheap laptop at home and if all you need is basic internet one of the pay as you go Dongles, Vodaphone, Kangaru etc available in the Algarve ( Algarve shopping at Guia ).
Then you just connect to your existing IPS provider.
Then you just connect to your existing IPS provider.

I would say its cheaper to buy your laptop in the UK and as EMM says you can then use kangaru to connect to the network. Bit like buying a SIM card for your phone works out about €1 per day (pay as u go)
