Looks like the lighting is going in, but don't see any sign of the trees. Shame if such an expanse of cobbles and paving has no greenery. Very large pots?

I have to be honest and say that I didn't think they would be as far advanced as they are.

At least there are dining areas availabe along one side and much of the surfacing is complete.

As suggested - road layouts and traffic flows will be interesting to discover.

Well just looked on the priai cvo webcams an it looks pretty ok along the square today with lots of people about. The cafes look like they are getting ready for a busy lunch period :D

Well some what dismayed at the current level of mayhem in CVO arrived 31st march for 9 days on going home did'nt see all that much progress. I do hope that the tree's shown on the original plans do turn up, my feeling's are that when finished CVO will benefit in the long run. Will be returning in mid June when I hope most of the work will be completed but I won't be holding my breath.

Took some more video yesterday. The square is coming along but the roads and parking :( :( :( To get from Restaurant Hill to QDP involves a hell of a detour.

Great , hope this discourages people from bringing their cars into town.

How are the works in the square affecting the Carvoeiro Sol? Stayed there over 20 years ago on our honeymoon (then the Don Sancho). We have come back to Carvoeiro nearly every year since :D and watched all the changes over those years  , the changes to the square are the most drastic over a short period during those years. Looking back at some of our photos we still miss the Nivea balloon near the beach.

Thanks for the updates, can't wait to get out there and see it all for ourselves, the weather really doesn't look great though, nearly like here! Still confused with the traffic flow, from the video it looks like you can't go out the 'out road' at all from the Square or am I mistaken?

Traffic flow suggestion,

leave the " old in road as it is ", limited access , no through rd to the square.

The old OUT become the new IN and the OLD in/out become the new OUT.

Leave the current Diverso,s in place.

Then buy a camera sit back and watch the mayhem.
