Getting to Lisbon for England games

Post by Scott »

Could anybody please advise me as to the easiest way to get to Lisbon from Carvoeiro, setting off early morning & returning early hours of the following morning? Do you need to book seats on the train? If so how do I do this? Are there any local coach operators running trips? How much would a taxi cost!?!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You can get an express ticket at the bus station in Lagoa, the first one goes about 7a.m I think. A taxi would be very expensive, what about renting a car? I think it would be best to go one day and come back the next stay the night and enjoy Lisbon :P

Scott,

I am not sure what the individual transport costs are, but I can definatly advise you book everything right now. You won't find a single seat or a single bed a few weeks before the game.

Buses:

Trains:

Hotels

Good luck.

I would book a car if I were you and if you know someone in Lisbon, try and stay with them.

I've had a look at booking a hotel about a month ago and tried over 75 hotels without any luck.

Thanks for your help. I think I'll try the bus from Lagoa & have contacted the bus company to reserve tickets. I'm guessing that Lagoa is the nearest Town to Carvoeiro & that I can get there on a bus or taxi?

Once again thanks for all your help!
