Chimneys
Chimneys
Should chimneys be periodically swept? I seem to have birds nesting in the chimney which serves the external barbeque and was thinking that if they also nest in the one serving the wood burning fire (which hasn't been used for a couple of years), should it be swept to avoid fires high up in the chimney?

Re: Chimneys
We have done as we found a bees nest in one of ours!! always have a check and make sure they are clear.
Re: Chimneys
Got ours swept as it was smoking alot and it made a huge difference. It hadnt been cleaned in years. Also be careful there arent nests in your gas flue if you have one!
