Re : Never a good time
When is a good time to do this sort of work , there isnt one. But it is needed , new pipes , new clean area , new life.
Carvoeiro is still a great place to be , yes its not so easy at the moment for wheelchair and buggy users , but we do have a other beaches with good access nearby.
So please dont write CVO off. The town still has a great atomsphere , great restaurants and friendly bars.
And NO IM NOT ON COMMISSION TO THE JUNTA !!!
P:s Albuferia , Pria dad Rocha and Silves have all benefitted from their face lifts , so lets see what ours brings

I think if done well it will be good for CVO lets just hope they keep a restriction on some of the parking practices used in the past. Walking on the out road near to ELE and ELAs must have been terrible if you were disabled, needed a wheelchair as the pavements were/are in a bad state and blocked by cars. Lets also hope they erect something a bit better than the circular monstrosity that used to be in the middle of the square. On the whole though I give the idea the thumbs up

There is a plan of the new square outside Smilers. The only problem is that it is about 5m up a pole, and to see it you have to stand in the middle of the road. From what I could make of it, it looks interesting, linking the square with the in and the out roads, and providing two avenues of what looked like trees. Have to go down again with binoculars.

Hi Mike,
Did take a photo this morning, and it's not worked out too bad. Have cropped it into two images. From the FAQ the sysytem for adding photo's is none to simple (for a computer semi-illiterate), so can I e-mail anyone the photo's for posting. I also have other images of the current state of the works.
