Great places to eat in Carvoeiro - help!!

Typical politician.... I agree with all of you.
I said in my new restaurant site review, Happys is not the greatest food, Libbre is an institution and that has to be the busiest small restaurant in Carvoeiro with a massive villa owners following.
Though the food isnt bad.....you go there for the overall package, and it makes for an enjoyable evenings experience.
We used to go there at least twice a visit, but have moved on a bit I guess, so now we probably go to Happys once every other visit, and probably enjoy it all the more for that.

Later this year 16 of us are coming to celebrate one of us turning 40 years young. We are all female between 30-40 and are up for a great party. Not looking for cheap, more good quality and great atmosphere. Any suggestions of where to eat/party on a Monday night in Sept?

Go to Happys for fantastic fish and chips - top place and very reasonably prices.
Maximes highly reccommended, as said earlier a litle bit more than others but well worth it. Elle & Ella is also worth a look in.

Roundup badrinks would suit as would Brady's when a band is on. A party like your's would love the Jailhouse in my opinion. Not everyones cup a tea but superb if you are in a crowd.

Now what about May ??

I would go for Maximes or A Gale both really nice and you can go onto bars later if you choose to.

We had a nice meal in Happy's but I know what they mean about being a bit over-familiar. Last night we went to Branco's and there was a local birthday party taking over most of the restaurant. They still managed to fit us in and we had an excellent €7 special along with really good live Portuguese style music. It's the first time we have been but it won't be the last.

Since you first asked the question a new place has opened called 'Taste', it's owned by the couple who own Ele e Ela a which is a very good restaurant in Carvoeiro. It's a lovely venue & I would imagine a good place for a bit of a party. Wherever you end up have fun!!
