DVD Players

Post by lisalalovely »

Hi

I am coming out to Carvoeiro in May with my family and two children. We have booked a villa through an agent and it just states that there is is TV. We have a very small dvd player which we were thinking about taking along with a scart lead. Is the lead likely to work on a Portuguese TV?

We have been a few times to the Algarve and the TVs have ranged from having BBC and ITV channels etc to having no english channels at all!
We are not bothered about the tv channels more just wanting to be able to put a film on for the children when they need to come out of the sun for a while.

Hope you can help.
Thank you

If the TV has a scart socket then it should work.

I would imagine a scart would work. Or you could use a composite video cable: Image

We took a UK DVD player out to our apartment, and it works perfectly well with a scart lead.
