Cattleman

Post by Highlandlass »

The food was nice, not spectacular, but the setting made up for it! The poolside setting is really lovely, The food is simple and plain, just not fancy, but was still good

Looks expensive to me. Is it worth it?

Was my Girls and their friends who went in, they said the Burgers were really nice homemade and if you stick to things like that it was ok price wise, its if you start having steaks etc it gets expensive

Has this Restaurant closed, as was not open Christmas or last week, we walked up to go in as girls liked it, looked deserted and all the Menus gone?

I´m not sure if they will ever come back to open. Think it´s been closed since September and not even the owners know what will happen.

That is a real shame, not sure why it has never tacken of, in the Summer it is really nice to sit on that lovely Terrace round the Pool, think people just like to stick to same things they know...

Yes thats when we first went and there used to be someone dressed up as a flamingo in the heat trying to get you to go in, we had some good meals in there, as I said the setting is lovely and it is such a shame

Oh gosh I quite liked the Cattleman, great service and very friednly too. Only went there once with my Gary and mother-in-law but good basic food. Funny but this restaurnat has not had a lot of luck since the owners shut down as the Flamingo.

I've seen that the Restaurant is to rent right now. So the old owners won't come back.

Does anyone know if this place is opening again, please. Such a shame if not as we always had good food and service here.

Still closed as we walked past last night, yes such a shame, lovely setting also. Someone may take it over at some point though.

We were out last week and The Cattleman has reopened with a new owner, Frank. We went on a very rainy evening and had a lovely meal in the cozy bar and looked out of the windows onto the pool terrace area which would have been lovely if the sun had been shining. We had the specials and they were very good and I can particularly recommend the homemade strudel and vanilla sauce. There was a small menu but a good choice and very reasonable prices.
