Fabulous news Elise Designs exclusive range of handcrafted cards (including Christmas) are now in stock at Aladins Gifts in Carvoeiro.

I have just noticed on the Elise Designs website that they are doing several Christmas Fairs too, including one at the Hotel Garbe.

Get your Christmas card orders in now. They really are lovely.

We prefer to be more flexible and have a choice of five colour SM52's at our disposal but I will bear you in mind if we get too busy

My first job out of school was as a sales rep for "Valentines of Dundee" they were owned by Hallmark but have long gone now

Seriously though, are your cards handcrafted or printed, same goes for Graham? These are beautifully made cards and as I said handcrafted so a lot of love and care go into them!

And I should again mention that they took just two days to arrive in the UK from Portugal, which, knowing how Royal Mail operate, is faster than if sent by first class post internally throughout the UK!

Its a growing "cottage" industry, my aunty makes the most stunning bespoke "special" cards, bride to groom sort of thing. A company called G.F. Smith in Hull does a lot of really good paper & board if you fancy a stab at your own. I have thought about offering a bespoke printing service myself, I can get 4, 4pp A5 on a sheet and print all 4 for about £400, not bad if you split it amongst four friends / family, 500 cards each x 4 different designs, but in reality would probably be a nightmare sorting it all out!

I can't be bothered with making my own

I'd much rather buy some that have been well made, especially if they are as lovely as the ones I just received, unlike some of those awful things you find at some craft fairs, which look like you left a child in charge of the glue and a pair of pinking shears

If it's a nightmare that needs sorting Colin I am sure you will manage beautifully!

Yes, we were one of the very few manufacturing businesses based in Surrey - until the Government reclassified us as a service industry
