New Years Day

Post by sanreen »

We are thinking of coming out to Carvoeiro for New Year. Could anyone please let me know what restaurants will be open for dinner on New Years Day. There will be 7 of us 6 adults and 1 child. Also would you need to book for a meal on New Years Eve. Any help would be appreciated as we have never been at this time of year.

There are a fair few open, but you will need to book. Quite a few open on Christmas day but close for new year. it seems to be different each year.

We have booked Christmas Day and New Years eve, we didnt book for New Years Day last year and had no trouble getting in and there are 12 of us, but if you are out there you may as well book to be on the safe side.

It depends where you go. We went to the big chinese and had a really average meal - didn't feel like new year at all and the place was virtually empty. Just as well there was not many people there as OH was particularly unpleasant that evening and I spent most of it in tears (he is now ex OH having dumped me in August!)

The more popular places looked like they were having loads of fun but were bursting at the seams!!!
