lIVE MUSIC
Hi we are coming over the beginning of November and wondered if anyone could tell us if there will be any bars open with live music.

It baffles me how people dislike the inane nonsense some people post, when I personally find the abruptness of other posters quite unnecessary. Someone asked a simple enough question, the tone is quite unnecessary. I assume you are suggesting the poster revert to either FAQs or Events - why not say so?Michael Crane wrote:Mmmm, if only there was somewhere within the forum this sort of information could be posted.
A person asked a perfectly pleasant query and - whomever it was aimed at - the answer was in no way helpful? When considering aswell that this is a fairly new poster, seems an inappropriate responsesteve wrote:Sadly people are missing the point that MC is making. Take a look at the exchange of views in the general forum under events continued.
The comment is actually quite amusing!

Live Music Venues for Dylan
Hello there Dylan,
Welcome to Carvoeiro.com, it's not always like this! Generally when you ask something, people answer you with useful information!
When are you coming over? Will you be here as early as Nov 1st because I know that there is a very good Blues/Folk band called WhiteCrow on Sat Nov 1st at Ma-Ja'x restaurant in the Rua do Casino, Carvoeiro (the best way to get to it is go up the steps at the side of the Irish Times, right to the top and look to your left and you'll see Ma-Ja's) Tel. 912 684 052
The Jazz club in Monte Carvoeiro have live music every Friday night, varies from week to week as to what kind of music but it's usually of good standard, whatever it is.
Also every Sunday afternoon there is live Brasilian/Jazz music at the Cafe Inglês in Silves (up the hill, next to the castle walls near the church) Tel 282 442 585
I hope this is helpful to you.

If you want to ask general questions about Carvoeiro then it is probably best to put them in the 'General Carvoeiro' section or 'Chit chat' If you read the bit by each section o here you will see what each ones is for.

I assumed that members were aware that the very information this post requests has (mainly) been removed from the forum and especially from Events. I was making the point that there's a demand for this type of information and Events should be the place it's housed.Michael Crane wrote:Mmmm, if only there was somewhere within the forum this sort of information could be posted.
I wasn't getting my drawers in a twist, just making a point about the loss of the information requested.
Sorry to upset anyone . . . but I do sometimes think some people are over sensitive.

Thanks everyone for your useful comments and information and no offence taken by the first reply even if it did sound just a smidgen sarky , we now have a few pubs to try when we come over.really looking forward to it.
It seems my wife caused a bit of a fuss by asking her question in the wrong section , point taken about this. Oh and an extra thanks for the replies sent in our defence .
