Julio's & Jardim O Farol
Julio's & Jardim O Farol
Just returned from another great Carvoeiro holiday (eighth visit now over the last 5 years) and again visited our favourites - Julio's & Jardim O Farol - nothing changes both as delightful as ever and very reasonable prices!! Both located on the road from Carvoeiro to Rocha Brava (Jardim just outside the entrance to Rocha Brava)
If you have not been suggest you try!!

You must have been very unlucky, we have used regularly over the last five years - prices are very reasonable with starter and dessert prices being excellent value - suggest you try again, am sure you will not be disappointed twice!!Ellie wrote:Ive had some nice meals at Jardim O Farol Redford but Ive only been to Julios the once as I was somewhat disappointed, thinking the meal was very average for the cost? But I have heard others praise the place.

The great Julios debate rides again! My own sources complain that it is the same menu all the time. Gets boring.
Re: Julios
As a twice yearly or so visitor to CVO that is no problem with us and they always have specials on offer, but can see that it might be 'boring' if you are spending weeks or months in CVO.biffa wrote:The great Julios debate rides again! I'm sorry Redford but having visited this place (last time in Sept this year) twice to see if it's redeemed itself, I've given up. Surly, very unimaginative food and not good quality! Suggest you try Club Atlantico just up the road or the new O Rafaiol just opposite. The former being top notch in my opinion. It's a great location but doesn't deliver. To be honest the RB Cafe serves better food and with a smile!
We'll beg to differ on that - always very busy at Julio's so a lot seem to like it. We also find the staff very nice and obliging and the service is excellent. Thanks for your suggestions on the other restuarants, will try when we are next over.Mike,Chislehurst wrote:I'm sorry Redford but having visited this place (last time in Sept this year) twice to see if it's redeemed itself, I've given up. I must admit it must now be three years since we used this restaurant but our experience is not good; food reasonable but expensive and service very poor. Requesting a bill four times with no result and resorting to leaving table to pay is just not on. The attitude of the waiters was appalling. Will not go again.
