Well no-one seems so far to have placed their most embarrasing faux pas at a dinner party on the site.

Cannot tell me that you are all so holier than thou that no-one has committed this sin.?

I know I have, but I await others to tell their tale so that someone else gets the chance to win the delectable prize.

Well it wasn't a dinner party faux pas but when I was helping my parents to run their pub/restaurant, I was cooking and serving to guests in our lounge bar restaurant, we had a Lord and Lady in for supper (they lived locally and popped in from time to time) I had two plates with Somerset cider pork casserole and dishes with vegetables on a tray, I had to walk up three steps out of the kitchen, across a covered walkway and into the lounge up two more steps, well I tripped on the last step and the tray and food flew into the room followed by me! everything went flying and I landed on my face

Lady K looked at the mess and me and laughing said "well I've heard of fast food but that is ridiculous" I have never forgotten it or lived it down in the family, it is one of those things that gets brought out at every family gathering...... embarrassing

Had absolutely superb smoked salmon today from Fumeiros do Algarve also loved the smoked goats cheese. Really good to meet Suzie, John and Simon. Good luck

Ha! John Ketley is MY John Ketley - but if he had a fiver for every time he has been asked if he is that one or whats the weather today, he would be a very rich man now and not have to work here on the Algarve. I will tell you a story one day about a news article about my John and the wrong photo being used ..........

back to directions - its in TORRE, if you go along the EN125 through Porches, past where the Algarve Laptop place is, around the bend and then opposite the big Pottery place, there is a sign TORRE turn up there and keep going around the windy road until you see some Electicity Pilon things, turn left just before them and keep going around the windy roads again, you will see a sign for a kennels on a left bend, keep going and as you start to go downhill, you will see a big white unit on your left, that is US, come through the gate and you will see our pretty tiled name above the door. Plan is we are there Tuesday - Saturday 10am - 1pm. Hope to see you soon
