IMI Tax - Can you pay on line from UK

Hi there,
Can you pay IMI Tax on line from the UK. I am aware that both me and my husband will get a bill but I read somewhere that we have to turn up in person to pay.

Yes, if it is within the allowed payment period. If you fail to meet the deadline you have to pay interest and therefore must go in person. All "state" bills have a 15 digit number on them which you must enter to make the online transfer from your bank
