We refurbished two bathrooms last Nov, and I sourced the bulk of the equipment from Macoter. They quoted 3-4 weeks.
On placing the order, I booked the builder for 6 weeks later. When I discussed this with the builder and told him where the equipment was coming from he did give me a sly look to intimate that we may need to make contingency plans.
But in the event, all the stuff turned up on time, and complete, so I'm afraid the evidence is inconclusive.

I work in that business and I have got nothing at all to do with MACOTER, but it´s just not fair to recommend "not to use them any more" - they, and all the other shops, whatever thet sell, mainly depend on the suppliers of the material. Obviously, as there is a great variety of material, especially concerning "bathrooms", the material has to be ordered. Very often, the retailer gets wrong information on delivery times etc. ... . Of course, they should have informed you from the beginning on or after a while that delivery time is longer then predicted and then you might have decided on something different. But the more special the stuff, the longer you sometimes have to wait, and not only in Portugal ... And sometimes, isn´t it worthwhile waiting and then be 100% satisfied with the items you get?
We all work very hard here and it´s for me an arrogance to make a comment in that forum without being aware of the consequences for the shops or restaurants you critizise. And sometimes in Portugal we just need a little bit of "paciência" - and who doesn´t like is not forced to live here....

If you knew the full story you would not say that, it was not just our order
when you have a builder waiting to accept delivery and then they do'nt turn up this happened three times, we phoned them and they advised us when it was going to be delivered and this happens, then they broke some of the order when it was being delivered we were advised it would be a week and it turned out to be four and on it go's.

Just looked at a brochure I have from Macoter (it is called Client Support) which does state "Macoter suppliers can have delays due to unforeseen circumstances" - surely they can't be held responsible for situations beyond their control and they have tried to let their customers know up front.
Macoter are not the only ones presenting with schedule problems on building material.
On numerous occasions we have had clients wait weeks more for double glazing, shower paneling, tile references - in each delivery there was at least one reference, measurement or quantity that was wrong, items were damaged... etc, etc.
From where we stand it is impossible to tell who in the delivery chain is responsible for most of these problems. Certainly companies like Macoter will put the blame on factories, transporters, etc, but then how do we know that is not the truth?
You are always going to run into snags when building or refurbishing, but unless you sat at the site and went over every measurement and submitted all the paperwork yourself and then accepted and reviewed the delivery when it came off the truck, you have not got a chance to attribute blame without running serious risk of wrongly accusing someone.
