Hemmingways but the owner is a Hamilton Accy so doesn't know anything about football  However, they've had a flying start to the SPL

It's funny, but because of my job with Sky Sports News, the thing I avoid like the plague when I escape to Carvoeiro, is football on the telly.
Trouble is that evey bar I go in out there, what is in my face.....bloody Sky Sports News!

Hi Stano,
Joker Bar is good -- lots of screens and 2 or 3 games to choose from sometimes.

I know but tough :P, he owned up to being and Accies fan, he could have kept it a secret. I am not going to say much more now until the season has ended and the mighty Dons have humped them at every opportunity(fingers crossed) I am going to regret this post  , but hey ho, faith and all that

Will be returning to CVO end of Sept. Can anyone tell me if Bar Mexhilao (forgive spelling) is still on the go?. Spent several enjoyable nights (and days) watching footie in there a couple of years ago.
ps. now a lifelong Accies fan after their drubbing of my city rivals on day one of the season.

Now now Brucie boy. It is only 25 years ago that the mighty Dons conquered Europe with Sir Alex at the helm.

Check it out.

We're the Dons, from Aberdeen,
and we're the finest, that's ever been,
and we're gonna do it for you,
and we're gonna do it for you,
McLeish and Miller, and Strachan too,
will take us forward, and take us through,
cos we're gonna do it,
we're gonna do it,
we're gonna do it for you.
...
CHORUS:- We're taking our team into Europe,
Yes we are oh yes we are,
all the way, every night and day,
singing the european song.
Oh all the way, every night and day,
singing the european song.
...
We can sing, and we can play
cos Alex Ferguson, he knows the way,
and we're gonna do it,
we're gonna do it
we're gonna do it for you

(Repeat Chorus)

This is so sad :( But funny at the same time. Charlton are my team, anyone remember the play off at the old Wembley (1998) between Sunderland, ended 4-4 then pens which Charlton one! Hell of a game and rated as the 3rd best game game ever staged there. Forum wise, Gazza's a fan as well.

Mike, so which match was rated the best ever played on the hallowed turf of Wembley?

World Cup Final - England v West Germany 1966?

As a mega Man Utd fan - I rate the 4 - 1 against Benfica in 1968 to win the European Cup very highly!

Perhaps another topic for discussion?
