Its a lovely lager, and still quite cheap, going down far too well ! Some of the supermarkets in the UK stock it too. Super Bock lager not too bad but not my preference over here, you now get a free bottle of it on arrival at Faro !

Thanks for all the tips on the beaches, we have been to quite a few now and had great days out, now we've had too much sun ! Does anyone know of any swimming pools open to the public in the area ?

I have no idea what these places are like but I think Bubble's bar, the bar/restaurant at Algar Seco & the Cattleman restuarant all have pools which provided you have at least a snack & a drink anyone can use. Others may be able to confirm or not.

Dont forget the municipal pools in Silves and Lagoa and I think there is one in Alvor.

The only problem is that the municipal pools close for August. Ridiculous idea I know.

Just popped into the tourist information centre in the square that was actually open ! and found out that there is one at 'Club Vital Tennis' or something like that, up past Monte Carvoeiro and onto Estrada do Vale Da Lapa, so will go check it out tomorrow.
