Look at:

http://www.cp.pt/cp/displayPage.do?vgne ... RD&lang=en

Nearest station to CVO is Estombar, you need to take the Faro train & change at Tunes for the Intercity - First Class very reasonable & comfortable and meals delivered to your seat. You then change to local line at Lisboa Entrecampos (Details can be found in the above site)

Enjoy !

Talking of train food (naughty, naughty Michael  ) - we have had breakfast which was reasonable with omelette, bacon, sausage, juice, croissant, jam, tea or coffee for 9 euros but has anyone tried the lunch or dinner service ?

Last trip dinner smelt good but as we had already eaten we didn't try it.

To give a sensible answer

Tunes/Lisbon 07.26/10.04 Breakfast : 13.45/17.05 Lunch : 19.31/23.06 Dinner

Lisbon/Tunes 08.40/11.24 Breakfast : 18.40/21.25 Dinner : 19.20/22.48 Dinner

Food from Estombar/Tunes (about 30 minutes) is DIY.

Jimmi, we weren't taking the mickey out of you, its just because MC, made a joke about posting on the right topic.

I hope you have a lovely time on the train and will look forward to your travel report on your return

Jimmi - I have given you the train times to Lisbon, Jeremy has given you the route.

www.cp.pt is in English (click on the Union flag) where you can get all times, book tickets, reserve your seats etc.

We are being helpful, not funny - what more do you want ?

All that is asked is that, if you try the food, you report back on it

I took the Omega train to Lisbon from Tunes, wonderful train, made the mistake on the way back having a meal, Crap to say the least, great journey though and so cheap it's unbelievable. Left the car outside the station for three days, no problem and no charge. They run on time too if the timetable says 3.10 pm it arrives at 3.10 pm not 3.09, 3.10. :)
