How accurate is the newsletter info on what is happening?

Post by fmm »

Just read the newsletter and I am not very happy to see the pictures immediately behind my apartment being shown as the site for the new 300 car carpark and shops. I had been told that this land belonged to the Mirachor and they were going to be extending their hotel. I had also been told that villas were about to be built on it.

Can anyone confirm whether they REALLY know or is it just hearsay?

I plan to visit my lawyer tomorrow to find out more, but would like to know the source of information before I do so.

I dont think the Monte Dourado residents will be pleased that the main road out of Carvoeiro is through their complex.

Thanks JL and ER - I read the initial post from Gambrinus when it was posted, but as the newsletter came out after this, I had assumed that this was the most up to date information.

As much as I enjoy the newsletters, would it be possible to put caveats on information contained in the newsletter so that if information is not 100% accurate that it could be worded slightly differently - i.e. the current newsletter makes it appear that it is fact rather than supposition.

I know how hard it is to write newsletters and I really enjoy reading the Cvo one  - but with something that is going out worldwide and not just the members of the forum, we need to be more accurate. For example, if I were thinking of selling my apartment (which I am not!), I would have done my resarch and noticed that a 300 car carpark and shops were about to be built within yards of my back window.

Of course, this information may be 100% accurate, but if so then the source of the information should be quoted.

If anyone else has any information on this please let me know and thanks for the information so far!

I have read the newsletter and the picture you show by A Rede is (I understand) for villas. The car park is being put next to the market. Or have you amended the newsletter and I haven't seen it? My connection in Cvo is a bit slow so this is entirely possible.

I am still waiting for confirmation of this by my solicitor, but everyone (including the business owners of the A Rede block) believe it will be villas/townhouses and not a car park.
