Hi All,

Just thought I would let you know what has been happening and why you haven't heard from me for a while.

Our house sale fell through, like many others in the current climate and this called for me to find a job for a few months. Well I did. I am now on a short golf coaching contract in Kiev, Ukraine.

I arrived here at the beginning of July and I will probably be here until the end of October. This contract will allow my wife and two daughters to move to Quinta da Boa Nova at the end of August ready for them to begin school in September.

I am planning to be around on the Algarve for most of the winter coaching and playing golf.

My wife is an artist and has already produced several pictures from photographs we took whilst we were in Carvoeiro last year and will be working on other pieces of artwork once we arrive.

Anyone who owns offices, bars or restaurants and would like to help my wife to exhibit and sell her work please contact me via the forum and I will pass on the details.

Also, my daughters Claudia (14) and Hollie (7) will be starting at the International School in September and anyone wishing to contact us and help my wife and girls settle in to Algarve life can also get in touch this way.

We are ALL looking forward to settling in on the Algarve and being back together as one family again.

I look forward to reading your replies.

Good luck to all your new endeavours. Hope the golf goes well and your wife does a roaring trade with her lovely pictures. The children will settle in ok once done and dusted. We are so very jealous

So sorry to hear about the sale of your hosue falling through, def. sign of the times.
I wish you and the family all the best and for your future in the ALgarve. Gary and I are out in Sept and I guess a few other are normally holidaying around that time. Sure there will be a chance for some to meet up and welcome your wife and children.

Thanks so much for the kind words and support.

I did forget to mention that we have agreed a six month rental on our house and the people renting would like an option to buy if they like it. They certainly like it enough to rent it.

So fingers and everything else crossed!!!
