Pool cleaner info required please

Post by Ann-Marie »

Can anyone advise on how much a pool man would charge, im presuming on a weekly or monthly basis? I think during the summer months while there are people constantly using the pool that it will be needing cleaning twice a week. Can anyone recommend someone?
:)

 You are probably looking at between 65 euros and 80 euros a month to include the chemicals and clean, a little less if you supply the chemicals. Hope this helps....

I pay 60 euros a month all year - not quite sure how much work is actually done (ie I do some of it when I'm there) but he keeps an eye on the villa. Last time I was there at short notice, he came to check up on me when he was driving past at 9pm!

Our pool man costs us 70 Euros per month all year round, he is very good and a very handsome young man as well - which makes his twice weekly visits a joy! Ted our dog doesnt agree though, he always tries to help and is much more of a hinderance really.

8) 8) Just what is it that says all pool men have to be tall, tanned and good looking??? It just isn't fair, I only get to see ours occasionally, still three weeks this year will make up for it.

try the pool place in Lagoa near the fatacil, we have found them to be really good, they clean twice in the summer weeks and once in the winter season.

I can recommend the place in lagoa too, also when they are a bit more expensive. They are very reliable and provide good quality compared to lots of others

We have used the pool men oppostie the fatacil, but no more. They have twice flodded the pool room, by leaving the hose to top up the pull, and frogetting it. They have also once left the pump on backwash and emptied half the pool. Of course like most algarveans they completely deny any resposibility for thier actions.

Probably like most countries sometimes you get a good workman sometimes not, we have always managed to find the good in Portugal.
I personnaly think the 80 euros I pay per month is really good as he has to come all the way out into the countryside in Odelouca.
twice per week in summer once per week in winter and we have never had any problems [fingers crossed]
