silves medieval fayre

after FATACIL the best event in the algarve..starts 9th August for 10 days (I think)

last year from the square at the bottom near lidls where jousting and sword fighting show took place all the way up to the castle every road was full of handicrafts (lot from from middle east etc)..entrance free to fayre, jousting show a few euros

Possible for 1 euro to hire costumes and change euros for xelbs to use at food and handicraft stalls, also from about 5 pm every day a parade with snake charmers, musicians jugglers etc takes place thru streets of silves

I agree, a great event, we had a wonderful time there, bought some nice little pieces to take home.

I agree LJ, its a really nice event. I've still got my 'Silves' clay cup
(You buy it and then just pay to keep having it refilled ) and then take it home.
