Buying a property

I have been visiting the Carvoeiro area for the last five years and have recently returned from holiday. I am currently contemplating whether to purchase a property in Carvoeiro town through Carleton Properities Real Estate and wondered if anyone could offer me some advice on buying a property in Portugal and if anyone could recommend a reputable lawyer.

Thanks Cazzy for that info. I really would like to re locate to Portugal in the near future, but at the mo i am possibly thinking of buying a property to rent out so your information is most valuable.
