If you read the newsletter, you will see that we had an excellent meal there.
There are also photos and contact details.

The Colina village restaurant is superb. The problem is, in my view, is that it is TOO good for where it is. That place also needs a cheap family style restaurant.

We paid around 45 euros per head for a top of the range meal including aperitifs, wine, coffee, liqueurs.

For chinese go to the one in Lagoa pedestrian precinct.

thanks, i feel that 45 euro is more for a special occasion and i doubt i'd want to pay that as i'll be on a family holiday, is there any chiense restuarants in caroveiro , we have decided to stay within walking distance for meals in the evening so that adults can have wine, thanks again

You will need to go into Carvoeiro. Taxis are reasonable and plentiful.
There is a Chinese....I've never rated it particularly.
There is a good choice of restaurants, so you wont struggle for choice.

You are right. This was our monthly (as opposed to weekly or daily) treat.

There are plenty of 15 -20 euro restaurants on restaurant hill - a good 20 minute walk from Colina village - and in our experience the best of a mediocre bunch of chinese is the one at the top of the hill.
The only nearby cheapy (and good) is Edra's down hill from you near the traffic lights.

Try the Poco Partido restaurant just adjoining Colina Village (down the hill on the left) Good value for money in a much lower price bracket than the restaurant in Colina Village. Also good value is the Pont de Encontro in Area dos Moinhos. Turn right out of Colina Village and go right at the cross roads and then take the first left into ADM and go first left again.

Edra's Is that the one on the "council estate" Pass that all the time and never given it a thought, always a little cautious because of it's location, what's it's speciality? :?

Edra usually has a couple of dishes of the day plus their normal menu, good for a cheap lunch and a favorite with the ex-pats

That is the one on the right hand side by the traffic lights as you turn for Intermarche, good local food and very reasonable.
