Monte Santo resort

Post by Rossi's idol »

Hello everyone.
You won't recognise this username due to the fact that I've just registered a few minutes ago. My family and I are in the process of completing the purchase of a holiday home at Monte Santo in the coming weeks and wondered if anyone could enlighten us as to how it's looking. I've been monitoring your forum page for the last twelve months and have learned a great deal about the village. We are really excited and it isn't happening quickly enough!
Thanks for any info.

Hello and welcome :)

Most of the building work appears to be complete although I cannot comment on how the townhouses look inside - the sorrounding area (driveways, paths, etc) and the landscape still needs doing.

Hi Rossi's idol

Welcome to the forum. We were out there last week and drove past numerous times. From memory most of the construction works on the properties seem almost complete externally but there is still a fair amount to do on putting in roadways, landscaping etc. Having said that, the weather up to a couple of weeks ago was not too good and they are working Saturdays so rapid progress should now be made.

Heard that all properties there have been sold to Scandinavians and 4 british. Starting to landscape but a lot of work to be finished off.

Have watched this development daily for the past two weeks, and blimey are they working hard on it. The landscaping at the entrance is almost finished and they have made a good job of it. At the rate they seem to be going it should be fully finished in a couple of weeks.

Hi Sandy, hope you and rampage are well.
Not a lot seems to be happening at Hibuscus gardens, but it is quite hard to see from the road.
Re Monte Santo, i have to say (and i was totally against it in the beginning)
apart from the glass balconies and vivid red colouring, it looks like a very upmarket development and i think it will enhance the area and hopefully the value of our properties. It has been done very well with no expense spared it would seem.

Hi Rossi's idol,

Welcome to the forum. Where exactly is the Monte Santo development? I don't recognise it from the photos.

Dave

BTW, is your username a reference to the great Valentino, by any chance?

I thought someone might pick up on it, but don't take it the wrong way. I'm not 'full of my own ability', it's just tongue-in-cheek. I tell my friends that I taught him everything he knows! As if I possibly could.
Monte Santo is on the way into/out of Carvoeiro from the motorway although I'm sure other people here would be far more knowledgable about that than me. After I've typed this, I'll be going to the bank to forward the money to finally pay for our new property, so we hope to be able to start to visit soon, fingers crossed!!

I know I've been out here a while now, but to say we've been busy is an understatement and not sunbathing at that.
Re Monte Santo - Well well well, it's lookin gooooood! Very nice indeed. As everyone has been saying, it does look very upmarket. Lucky you - get out here and take a look as soon as you can. :)
