The nearest one is at the roundabout as you drive from the airport, about 500 yards.

You need to make sure you are in the correct lane to get onto the roundabout otherwise you end up going underneath it and have to go a fair way before you can turn back.

As you leave the airport the road splits into two the left hand lane will take you towards the large roundabout with the white statues looking up to the sky you will need to go round anti clockwise to the garage, then when you come out of the garage after filling up keep to the right and go anti clockwise again and take the second exit which will put you on the dual carriageway out of the airport area towards the motorway A22 or the N125 if you want to take the long way to cvo.

The right hand fork as you approach the roundabout will take you onto the dual carriageway. Hope this helps.

Dont panic....I've never picked up a hire car less than 1/4 full, usually nearer a half......so if you miss the airport filling station, it wont be a disaster.

As we are not long back in the UK, I thought I would drop a line on here. I have to say that I was thinking about this quite a lot on the flight out (Thursday 12th) and had all sorts of worries going through my head, which were obviously unfounded, as the the Auto Jardim chap pointed out that the strike had finished either Wed eve or Thurs morn. The Intermarche shelves were looking a bit bare on the Thurs eve, though they were fully stocked again by the Sat morning.

Could have been a lot worse, but I'm sure the government would rather back down than lose a chunk of tourism.
